Aseptic processing
Aseptic processing rapidly heats product (often UHT), holds for microbial kill, then cools and fills into sterile packaging—keeping flavor bright and shelf life long without freezing or heavy preservatives. It’s ideal for high-acidity foods and clean-label lines.
To brief suppliers, specify target Brix/viscosity, particulates, and packaging (aseptic bags-in-drum, totes, or pouches). Request validation data: heat profile/F₀ or equivalent, sterility assurance level, environmental monitoring, and post-fill micro testing.
Plan the supply chain: storage temperature, stacking limits, and shelf-life by pack size. Add traceability (lot/batch, best-by logic) and a rework policy. With sound aseptic packaging practices and clear specs, brands ship farther, waste less, and protect quality.
